Police Parade

The police came to El Sembrador and gave several sessions on abuse, drugs, gangs, and arms. Since our students participated, they were invited to march in the police parade along with two other local schools (another private school as well as the agricultural university). We ended at the Eighteen School (a local public school) and a presentation was given of what the police are doing for our community. Our students made us proud! One student, Samuel Nuñez, made us especially proud as he presented the secretary of security of Honduras a special carving made by our students.

El Sembrador Softball in Season

Travis has begun the new softball season. We're always excited to have the boys learn more and use sports as an outlet to release not only their energy, but also their "carga" as we call it in Spanish (which is burdens). We've been able to counsel many boys because of something that has come up during a sporting event when energy is running high. Praise the Lord for the open doors he continues to provide with the youth.

Honduras Independence Day

Today is Honduras' Independence Day. Hondurans are very proud of their freedom and show their country pride by marching in an Independence Day Parade. This happens in every city around the country. Anna marched with her school, Abundant Life, while our boys marched right behind with El Sembrador Horeb.
