Lori Speaks in Public Schools

Lori had the opportunity to speak to Marysville Public Schools (near Port Huron, MI) today. It was an awesome opportunity to speak to seven sixth grade classes about culture in Latin America as well as answer any questions they had. Although she wasn't allowed to bring God up, she could give a presentation and allow the children to ask her what she does, why she does it, etc. The kids had so many good questions about Honduras and life in a third world country in general. It was a wonderful opportunity to represent our Lord.

Travis' 34th Birthday

Today was Travis' 34th birthday. We got him an electronic dart board to take back to Honduras. He should have fun playing this with the boys. We also took him to his favorite restaurant, Red Lobster. Last, we had a Dairy Queen ice cream cake. It was a special day for him.

Anna and Ally

Anna and Ally are growing up quick. They've both recently had birthdays. Anna turned seven in February and Allison turned three this month. They are our pride and joy. God did the BEST WORK when He made our girls. We love these beautiful girls so much.

Travis' Surgery

Travis had ACL surgery on February 26th. His new home has been "on the couch" for the last several weeks. He had "other issues" as well. The doctor did micro-fracturing work on his meniscus. He did a procedure of drilling holes in the meniscus. This will eventually turn into scar tissue and he will be able to grow cartilage again. To make this surgery successful, he can't put any pressure on his leg until the middle of April. He just finished his second week of physical therapy at Hurley Health & Fitness. It is going well. I'm happy for it as I am taking the time to run on the track while he is in therapy. Travis should be able to return to a normal life of sports again in the fall. He isn't so sure he will play as hard as he used to, but I tend not to believe him as this is his life: basktball, softball, volleyball, and soccer with the boys at El Sembrador.
